You may be made to wear a surgical bra for 3 weeks followed by a supportive bra for 4-6 weeks.under wired bra needs to be avoided completely.

Avoid arm raising beyond 30 degrees for a period of 2 weeks and completely avoid exercise and heavy weight lifting for a period of 6 weeks.
You may take bath 5-7 days after the surgery once dressings come off.

It’s a day care surgery (come in the morning get the surgery done, you may get discharged on the same day in the evening). In some cases the stay may be extended to a night stay at the hospital.
Usually you may return back to work in 2 weeks time after surgery if your’s is sedentary work.
You can see the result immediately after the surgery, but final outcome may be appreciated after 6 weeks , once the swelling subsides.

As with any surgical procedures, there are certain risks associated with breast augmentation
• Infection and bleeding are very rare.
• Haematoma (blood clot formation) and seroma(collection of fluid) are rare complications – if they occur, then there may be a need of surgical intervention either in the form of an aspiration or may be a small surgery to evacuate the blood clots.

In our experience, implants last for 15-20 years, however there may be situations where the shell of the implants become thin. In these scenarios the implants may have to be removed and replaced.
16. Any other alternative procedure can be done for breast augmentation with silicone implants?
Breast augmentation may also be achieved with fat grafting of the breasts. This procedure has the double benefit of contouring the abdomen/ thighs (donor area) and augmentation of the breast (recipient area), with no scarring on the breast mound. Patients who are seeking natural augmentation without foreign tissue and scars are best suited for breast fat grafting. Patients who are seeking for significant volume enhancement, simultaneous breast lift and patients with tuberous breasts are best suited for augmentation with silicone implants.
