Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty, also known as labia reduction surgery, is a procedure designed to reshape or reduce the size of the labia minora or majora, the inner and outer folds of the female genitalia. It addresses both functional and aesthetic concerns, empowering women to achieve a sense of confidence and well-being in their bodies.

3 Types of Labioplasty Surgeries

01

Trim Excision Technique

This involves removing excess tissue from the labia to achieve a desired size and shape.

02

Wedge Excision Technique

This method removes a triangular wedge of tissue to reshape the labia.

03

Liposuction

This technique uses a cannula to suction out fat deposits, creating a more contoured appearance.

  • Enlarged labia minora causes difficulty while doing exercise, physical activities such as jogging or cycling, sexual activity, hygiene issues, urinary tract infections, difficulty in wearing body tight clothes

  • How long does labiaplasty procedure take?

    Potential Complications:

As with any surgery, there are potential risks associated with labiaplasty. These include: Infection: Proper sterile technique minimise this risk, but it's crucial to follow post-operative care instructions meticulously. Scarring: While most scars fade significantly over time, there's a possibility of noticeable scarring. Changes in sensitivity: While uncommon, temporary or permanent changes in sensitivity in the treated area can occur.

    Crucial Considerations: Planning for Labiaplasty

Before embarking on the journey of labiaplasty, it is essential to: Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon: They will assess your individual needs and expectations, discuss potential risks and benefits, and guide you through the entire process. Understand the cost: The labiaplasty cost can vary depending on factors like the surgeon's experience, location, and the complexity of the procedure. Seek emotional support: Open communication with your partner and potentially considering therapy can be crucial to address any emotional concerns or anxieties surrounding the procedure.
